“Did you know you’re so beautiful
On the edge of summer
That years from now
I’ll cry to remember…”

open your ears.
let the hum turn
to real voices
asking important questions.
crying real tears, laughing real, infectious belly laughs.
and reaching for your warmth, your time.
for your hand
to guide them
to adventure.
with you.

I searched for over an hour to find the perfect words to accompany this image. However, in the end, nothing matched what my heart felt.
When I look at this image, I feel nothing but gratitude. Gratitude for this tiny girl who, time and time again, stands
in front of my camera and helps to find the artist in me. Without her, I am certain the artist would have remained buried.
My heart is so very thankful. . .

More often than not, my daughter is the subject of all my images. Sometimes, it feels nice to get out of my comfort zone of shooting what I know and to branch out, take a risk, “quiet” the “loud” and shoot something completely different and completely for me. – Catherine
